Tax Reminders
The 2007 Tax Calendar for Small Businesses and Self-Employed is now available from the IRS. Each month the calendar tells you what tax dates you need to be aware of and what actions you need to take. Plus, you get helpful tips every month, including how to choose a tax advisor (January), car expenses (May) and budgeting for taxes (July).
Tax Prep Deduction
The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) reminds you that tax preparation fees are deductible expenses – for individuals as well as business owners. You can claim a deduction for fees you pay to a CPA or other tax preparer, as well as expenses paid for tax preparation software, tax publications and electronic filing.
