Get Business Permits

The Business.gov Web site has a new feature to help small-business owners obtain federal, state and local permits and professional licenses. It’s a one-stop resource that could save you hours of time researching and finding the information you need. Go to the Web site and click the “Permit Me” link. You’ll find a list of licensing and permit resources across all the federal, state and local domains.

Laptop Extra

Road warriors who work while flying might want to look into the Aviator Laptop Stand from Keynamics. The 9-ounce stand fits on an airplane tray table and slightly angles your laptop screen upward so you don’t have to hunch over to see your work. The stand folds flat for easy storage in a briefcase and sells for $20.
