Grab Those Local Shoppers
Small businesses that want to sell to local consumers should be marketing online – and offline, too. That’s the finding from a recent study from comScore Networks. Some highlights from the survey:
- 82 percent of online local searchers follow up offline via an in-store visit, phone call or purchase. Of these, 61 percent made purchases.
- 33 percent of all consumers still consider print Yellow Pages as their primary source of local business info, and 90 percent feel it’s valuable because it gives information such as accurate phone numbers.
