With one inexpensive gesture, you can build employee trust and loyalty. Give each of your employees business cards printed with their name and title. Give your administrative assistant a card. Give one to your delivery person. Give sales clerks their own cards. By doing so, you demonstrate their value to your company. You also elevate their sense of professionalism. It’s easy. It’s cheap. And it works.

 



Workers’ Comp Rates

Don’t let high workers’ compensation premiums put a drag on your small business. Here are two things you can do help lower the premium rate you pay. First, implement a safety program that helps prevent accidents. You can get information at www.osha.gov. Second, develop a return-to-work program for injured workers. Find ways to bring employees back by offering them temporary new positions until they can resume their previous job. The sooner an injured worker returns to work in any capacity, the better for your business.
