Nifty ideas you can use to build a better
business
‘Tis The Season
Before you drop those business holiday cards in the mail, follow these three etiquette tips from Lydia Ramsey, founder of Manners That Sell, www.mannersthatsell.com:
Sign each card personally. Even if you preprint your company information on the card, add your handwritten signature.
Handwrite the address on the envelope. Don’t use computer-generated labels or your holiday wishes will look like a mass mailing.
Use generic messages, such as Season’s Greetings and Happy Holidays. It shows that you’re sensitive to religious beliefs.
Short & Sweet
To generate more reader interest in your electronic newsletters, keep the content short and easy to read. Present a brief overview of each topic or article; no more than a paragraph. Allow readers to click through to read the entire article. This system satisfies readers by letting them choose which topics to read. It also lets you track which topics or articles generate the most interest. From that information you can tailor future e-newsletter content to meet more reader interest.
