The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has unveiled a new online application that women- and minority-owned businesses can use to apply for 8(a) Business Development and Small Disadvantaged Business certification. The online process makes it easier and less costly for companies to get certification that can lead to federal contracts. The online application is available at the SBA Web site, www.sba.gov. Whether you send sales letters through the mail or send them via e-mail, be sure to prominently pitch your guarantee.
