For businesses that sell online, 2004 was an outstanding year. That’s the finding of comScore Networks, which recently released online spending figures for 2004. All told, total online spending grew by 26 percent to a record of more than $117 billion last year. Minimum Wage Alert

Are you paying your employees enough? On Jan. 1, 2005, the minimum wage increased in five states:

  • Illinois – from $5.15 to $6.50 per hour

  • New York – from $5.15 to $6 per hour

  • Oregon – from $7.05 to $7.25 per hour

  • Vermont – from $6.75 to $7 per hour

  • Washington – from $7.15 to $7.35 per hour
