All told, total online spending grew by 26 percent to a record of more than $117 billion last year. Minimum Wage Alert

Are you paying your employees enough? On Jan. 1, 2005, the minimum wage increased in five states:

• Illinois – from $5.15 to $6.50 per hour

• New York – from $5.15 to $6 per hour

• Oregon – from $7.05 to $7.25 per hour

• Vermont – from $6.75 to $7 per hour

• Washington – from $7.15 to $7.35 per hour
