Nifty ideas you can use to build a better business

Look Sharp

Look organized when you go shopping for a business loan. Lenders pay more attention to borrowers that present a well-organized package. Start with a sturdy binder. Inside, neatly arrange documents that aren’t tattered or torn. Items to include:

  • Three years of tax returns

  • A current financial statement

  • Cash flow statement for the past year

  • List of accounts receivable and payable

  • Insurance records showing what equipment your company owns and the replacement value of the equipment

Power Nap

Every penny counts when it comes to cutting the cost of electricity for your small business. So take this tip – activate the sleep features on computers and office equipment. The feature powers down your machines when they’re not in use for a certain period of time. Want to save even more? Turn off all equipment on nights and weekends.
