You’re Not Alone

Don’t feel like you’re the only one feeling the pinch of higher gasoline prices. A recent survey by DollarDays International, an Internet-based product wholesaler to small businesses, found that 86 percent of its customers expect a negative effect on their revenues as a result of increased gas prices. Other survey findings:

  • 83 percent say they’re very concerned about how these prices will impact their bottom line

  • 71 percent have changed their travel plans as a result of gas prices

Swipe This

Every smart business owner should have a swipe file. That’s where you put things that you can later use for brainstorming. Your swipe file might include a brochure that you admired or a sales letter that caught your eye. When you’re ready to redo your brochure or create your own knock-out sales letter, you can turn to your swipe file for ideas. Tweak a few words. Add a different headline. Put your own spin on product features. Presto! You’ve got a new marketing piece – all thanks to ideas you hoarded in your swipe file.
