Nifty ideas you can use to build a better business

Let Them Eat Cake

Show your employees appreciation the easy way – give them birthday cakes. You can get small individual cakes and present them to each employee on his or her birthday. Or you can serve a big cake that celebrates employee birthdays every month or each quarter. Either way, a sweet treat and a few minutes of fun can go a long way to showing your workers that you appreciate their efforts.

Headliner

To grab the reader’s attention with your next direct mail letter, use a headline. Put the headline above the salutation. Pitch a strong benefit in the headline. Use a box around the headline or choose a different color type to make the headline jump off the page. Follow the headline with an enticing sub-head (in slightly smaller type) that expands on the benefit featured in the headline. Headlines work well for informal direct mail letters. If you personalize your direct mail letters to individual recipients, drop the headline.
