Know-how you need to succeed

E-Mail Promotions

When’s the best time to send e-mails that promote your small-business services and products? That depends. If your customers generally open their e-mail at work, then mid-week might prove successful. But if customers usually provide you with home e-mail addresses, then Saturday or Sunday might be the best day. There’s only one way to know for sure: Test and track. Send promotional e-mails on different days and at different times. Track your open rates. You’ll soon learn what your customers prefer.

Trade Show Spaces

Small businesses can get trade show exposure on small budgets. Simply avoid the big, expensive national shows and participate in smaller local trade shows. It usually costs less to rent booth space at local shows. You’ll save money on travel and lodging expenses too. Plus, a smaller show means a higher percentage of attendees will be paying attention to your booth.
