GET CONNECTED TIPS
Nifty ideas you can use to build a better business

Keep It Short

Don’t send novel-length e-mails to customers during your next marketing campaign. Many readers skip long e-mails, opting to read shorter ones. Keep your marketing message focused and as brief as possible. If you must send a long communication (such as an article), give readers just the first few paragraphs in your e-mail. Let them click a link to your Web site to finish reading. More recipients will read your e-mails, and you’ll drive traffic to your Web site.

Eye Kindness

If computer use is causing your eyes to be tired and itchy, follow these tips for relief.

  • Adjust your monitor so you’re looking slightly downward rather than upward or straight ahead.

  • Position the monitor to avoid glare and shadows.

  • Give your eyes a break. Every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and focus your eyes on something at least 20 feet in distance.

  • If none of these tips soothe your eyes, you may need glasses designed specifically for your work at the computer.
