Entrepreneurial Education

If you – or a young entrepreneur in your family – want a smart business education, check out one of the nine universities that received grants from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. The grants totaled $25.5 million, and with matching commitments from other funding partners, more than $200 million will be directed to these campuses to foster the creation of interdisciplinary entrepreneurship education programs. These are the universities that received grants:

  • Arizona State University

  • Brown University

  • Carnegie Mellon University

  • Georgetown University

  • New York University

  • Purdue University

  • Syracuse University

  • University of Maryland-Baltimore County

  • University of Wisconsin-Madison

Family Business Brand

Family-run businesses can effectively market their companies by focusing on . . . the family. By branding your company as a family-owned business you create trust with customers. Consumers see multigenerational family businesses as committed to the community and to customers. They also believe that family-owned businesses offer more personal service than non-family businesses. Learn more about marketing your family business with the free online article “Market Your Tradition,” available from the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE).
