GET CONNECTED TRAINING
Know-how you need to succeed

Increase Ad Responses

Try this trick when you need to write the copy for your small-business ad: Every time you’re tempted to write “we” or “me,” write “you” instead. This will help you focus the ad on the prospects you’re trying to reach. Rather than “we offer great customer service,” change it to “You’ll get great customer service.” Instead of “we’re proud of our newest widget,” write “you’ll love the way our new widget saves you money.”

Seminar Training

When you attend a multi-day seminar or conference, follow these two tips to help you get the most out of the event:

  • Stay at the hotel suggested by the event organizers. It’s likely that most attendees will also stay at that hotel. Being in the same place gives you a better opportunity to network.

  • Don’t play hooky. Attend the entire event. After all, you paid good money for registration fees. And you never know when you’ll meet someone or pick up a gem of information that could be a big boost to your small business.
