Nifty ideas you can use to build a better business

Yellow Pages Tip

To help decide what information should be displayed prominently in your Yellow Pages ad, listen to consumers. Note what they ask when calling your small business. Do they want to know your hours of operation? Are they looking for certain products or services? Do they want to know how soon you can respond to their needs? Do they ask about your location? Identify the most commonly asked questions. Then tailor your Yellow Pages ad to directly answer those questions.

Make Inventory Easier

You don’t have to perform your annual business inventory in a week-long marathon style. Instead of trying to take count of all of your stock at the same time, divide and conquer. Separate your inventory areas into smaller sections. Make a complete list of the sections. Assign sections to different employees, and schedule their sections for inventory on different days. Your inventory chore will go more smoothly, and your employees will hail you a hero.
