Lease Answers

Leasing business equipment, rather than buying, could help your small business conserve cash. But weighing all of your lease options can be confusing. If you need help, go online to www.leaseassistant.org. The site is hosted by the Equipment Leasing Association and offers extensive information about equipment leasing. You'll find:
  • A checklist of questions to ask when negotiating a lease

  • A detailed list of the types of equipment that can be leased

  • Case studies that demonstrate the benefits of equipment leasing

  • Information about the differences between a lease and a loan

Going Postal

Looking for a one-stop solution for creating and sending direct-mail pieces? Check out the U.S. Postal Service's NetPost Mailing Online, www.usps.com/directmail. At the site, you choose a direct-mail format, such as letter, postcard, self-mailer or flyer. Then select a size and quantity. The choices of design templates are limited, but production pricing is reasonable. You can opt to buy a mailing list or use your own. After you finalize your decisions, the site calculates your total cost. Your direct-mail piece will be in the mail within 48 hours.
