Before you place that advertisement to attract new talent to your business, be aware of the words you use. Wording in ads can be used as evidence of discrimination against applicants. Here are a few words that can trip you up when writing an ad:

Don’t use salesman. Use salesperson.

Use waitperson instead of waiter.

Don’t state that the position requires a married couple. Use the term two-person job instead.
