E-Mail No-No

Maintain a professional image when sending e-mails relating to your small business. Ditch silly fonts, neon colors, photos of your dog and other annoying additions. Stick to the basics. Think of e-mail as your electronic business card and letterhead. Don’t junk it up.

Road Trip Idea

When flying to a city to meet with clients, try this tactic to save time: Stay at an airport hotel; rent a conference room; and invite your clients to come to you for the meeting. You’ll probably have to pay for the conference room, but you won’t have to rent a car. That means less time in car rental lines and less time driving in unknown territory. You can arrange for the hotel to deliver lunch to the conference room or you can treat your clients to dinner at the hotel. When your business is done, you won’t have to waste time driving back to the airport or returning a rental car.
