Nifty ideas you can use to build a better business

Promote Your Web Site

Too many small-business owners miss out on a simple way to promote their Web sites: Signs on their vehicles. Each time you produce a magnetic sign with your business name and phone number, be sure to include your Web site address. If you car, truck or van is already painted with your company’s name and telephone number, add the Web address. Putting your Web address on wheels is an inexpensive yet effective way to promote your business Web site to a local audience.

Pitching The Media

When it’s time to pitch your small business story to the media, sending your press release via e-mail direct to a reporter or editor is perfectly acceptable. However, avoid attaching any photos or documents to your e-mail message. Unrequested attachments not only irritate the media, but they can also cause e-mail filters to block your press release.
